A Wizard Did It

'A Wizard Did It' is a four player asymmetrical multiplayer game where three players play as heroes who need to defend multiple points around a castle, while the fourth player plays as the wizard and summons monsters around the map to capture the points the heroes are defending eventually leading to the castle's crystal, which when destroyed end the game and the wizard is declared the victor.

The game ended up being a lot of fun to play, even though it wasn't as polished as we would have liked it to be. We had the game up for people to play during the AMC exhibition, and with the exception of a few people, everyone was having fun playing it.

Gentleman's Gambit

Gentleman's Gambit, a two player card game, where each player picks three gentlemen and they battle each other using insults.

Players can use attack card, defence cards and utility cards.

The final version of the game wasn't as complete as we wanted, we had to use an A.I instead of another player and most of the utility cards weren't implemented.

With the use of a very gentlemanly sounding voice actor and some fantastic music, the game turned out really well, players were able to battle against an A.I that would randomly use attack and defence cards against the player and it gave people are good idea about how the game would be if it was fully finished.

Sol Solutions

Sol Solutions is a co-op puzzle game that uses the oculus rift as well as razer hydra motion control. Built inside of the Unreal 4 engine, the way that Sol Solutions was played is one person would be using the oculus rift and the hydra controllers and their goal is to fix an engine using parts around the level, while the other player would have a manual that explains how the engine should be put together. Both players must communicate to each other to correctly complete the puzzle as each player can't see what the other player is doing.

Though the final version of the game couldn't actually be won due to bugs with the grid system we used for the puzzle, the game looked fantastic in the Oculus and it was fun running around the small level trying to solve the puzzle as another person was trying to tell you what to look for.

Reverie

Reverie is an interactive story based game that utilizes the oculus rift built inside of the Unreal 4 engine.

In reverie, the player controls a female character that has died and is re-living the moments that led up to her death in a sort of dream world. The player explores each level, finding clues as to what happened and triggering voice acted sound events, which would eventually lead them to the next level until the game was completed.

Reverie turned out to be a game that we continuously look back on to see what not to do when making games, both programming and design wise. So though the final result may have not been a great game, it was still a great learning experience.
